First, you should know the SSD’s 3 types and all have been designed for mobile computers.

I list all internal drives/storage media via the S-ATA 3 (Serial-ATA (SATA): Benefits, Differences and Connection Types (dirks-computerecke.de)) are connected & in AHCi (Full potential of memory: Enable AHCI mode (pitdatenrettung.de)) Run mode.

The newer SSD’s M.2 NVMe (PCie) are no longer connected via the S-ATA 3. Even if the connection type of SSD M.2 is similar. Here, on the manufacturer’s side or in the network for the main latin (is referred to as a “mainboard/motherboard” in the foreign language) it is necessary to go through their specifications or to write the customer service in order to experience which drives/storage media or standards & protocols are supported.

Internal drives/storage media connected via S-ATA 3 & running in AHCi mode:

  1. Hard disks HDD & SSHD (hybrid – whose buffer is present as a cell memory). Format 3.5″ (inch). Just fit in stationary computers.
  2. CD/DVD/BR. Format 3.5″ (inch). Just fit in stationary computers.
  3. SSD. Format 2.5″ (inch). Fits in mobile & stationary computers. Up to 10 times faster than the HDD/SSHD. The same applies to SSD M.2.
  4. SSD M2 or was designed for mobile computers in which no second SSD 2.5″ (inch) drive/memory medium would fit. If you want more knowledge, please read this by: Four common SSD shape factors – and the best applications | Computer Weekly (2018).

The drives/storage media SSD M.2 NVMe (PCie), are at least twice as fast as the SSD & SSD M.2! Who wants to update his knowledge reads this: M.2 SSD Ratgeber – PCIe, NVMe and Co. explained – Hardware-Helden please.

I recommend: Crucial System Scanner | Memory upgrade scanner | Crucial | Crucial DE. In our language it is the scanner (scan). Everything is displayed here.

Below your mobile computer, you should find one or two stickers. With this information, you can access the exact product on the manufacturer’s page on the network. For us, please copy the address bar & paste it (actually in your question above). It helps you a lot more.

Until the days.

If you do not have any stickers or prints under the housing (which are referred to as “case” in the foreign language), please read this network page: Identify notebook model no matter which manufacturer (ipc-computer.de) by & looks at the clip.

Until the days.

This is one of the cheap but solid and up to now without disturbances (10 pieces in use) … CAD architecture rendering = continuous use!

In addition, the diagnostic tool of Samsung : https://www.samsung.com/en/ssd/magiciansoftware/
