SQL – how quickly can you learn it?

Hello everyone,
I am in the application process and do not have the required qualifications.
I have not worked with SQL in the past.
In my future role, I don't have to develop myself, but I should be able to understand what the developers say.
Can anyone estimate for me how quickly one can learn SQL to gain a certain basic understanding?
Can anyone recommend good courses?
Thank you!!! 🙂

The basis quickly… if you want to prove it, you need a certificate or something comparable and you probably didn’t have that fast.

Sure you can say “I’ve been busy” but if you’ve been spontaneously checking the A KArte if you can’t do it that well.

Personally, I would keep it with the following:

“I haven’t been busy yet, but I’m motivated to learn.”

If the skill is the only one that is missing and you otherwise super fits it shouldn’t be a PRoblem to send you into a corresponding course or to put you aside to other AN that shows you the necessary.

In a few hours you can get familiar with simple queries on individual tables.

But it is not just about the language SQL itself, but about the whole concept of relational databases. This is a basis without which one does not come very far, and there are many who need a little while until it really sits.

For 99% of cases, the basic knowledge can be acquired in 1-2 hours. For the rest, ChatGPT is asked for an explanation.
