Hard to see the trail?

Hey everyone.

I recently got my driver's license and have very rarely driven in the rain at night.

In general, I have driven at night several times and without any problems.

Only when it rains can I hardly see the road markings.

For example, the road markings. I almost had an accident today because I saw the road getting wider, but I didn't recognize the markings right away, and there was an on-ramp. I thought there was a left-turn lane there and wanted to turn right, which is a right-turn rule. My dad intervened briefly to prevent me from driving onto the on-ramp.

Do you think you get used to the problem with experience?

Yes, darkness + rain is an eclipse combination. This means that many drivers have their difficulties.

Slow down in such situations and set the right priorities. The fact that you’re safe driving (i.e. staying on the road, don’t bang in, no one takes the driveway) is more important than getting ahead of flott.

For example, if you do not see exactly the markings of the lanes when bending, it is important that you do not drive in any other road user. If no one (more) is next to you, it’s not so bad if you land half a meter next to your trail. Mainly, you’re going to the right side of the next traffic island (which you should see well in the rain).

Otherwise, yes: It is also a good piece of experience and exercise.

you can only fix this by knowing the route or you drive a little slower

with strong rain you see absolutely no car markers

Hello

Worst weather conditions! Bad/old lighting, too fast driving!

This is how you can safely stop in case of cases.

In such weather and bad roads, I am very slow on my way.

The car and the damage is not worth the time.

Only when rain comes in, I can hardly see the street effects.

Yes, the wet road reflects your headlight away from you, instead of markings, etc., throw the light back to you.

Do you think you get used to the problem with the experience?

Imo no. At least I still feel like that after only a few years.

To this end, the traffic that is still coming, whose headlights are also reflected from the wet Farhbahn in your face – even if the headlights are set correctly. Nervig3 tb.

Carefully, do not look into the light, orientate the road to keep the track…

Slowly drive, orientate the front man, the general course of the road (white guide beacons, which, for example, move further forward closer to my lane). And normally you can see something from the road markings – you have to look exactly (= drive slower!).

Well, I guess there’s some experience in it.

The first measure to reduce the speed is always recommended.

Then orient the other vehicles and objects on the side edges and estimate the center of the track. In the case of poor visibility, reflections, old building site markings, repaired tar pieces, long no longer white markings, you have to visually use everything available.

It really depends on the situation. I was once in a thunderstorm, the rain came horizontally from the side, at the beginning there were still 30 km/h possible, then branches and hail came to it, and then everyone on the road decided to make the warning blinkers stop and take 5 minutes until it became better. You could not see the edge of the road.

You generally seem to have problems driving by car as all your questions relate to it. / There are also people who are “nightblind”, from to the ophthalmologist and let it test

You should go to the ophthalmologist and tell him the problem.
