Spring force physics?

A spring has a spring constant of 30 N/m and a proportional limit of 5.0 N. Two such springs are suspended in series (i.e., one behind the other).

a) b) c) d)

Solutions:

What is the spring constant of the system?

What is the deflection of the system under a load of 4N?

What is the proportionality limit of the system?

Now, hang two additional, identical springs parallel to the first two below. Answer a) – c) for the new system.

Solution: 12N/m, 0.33m, 5N

Does anyone know the solution to this problem?

lower task:

The upper serially placed heirs extend by the double original deflection (2s). The parallel placements extend by half (1/2 s)

total extension 2.5 s, thus, 30 N/m Ferder constant through 2.5.
