If there was a time when different children had agreed to it, something different. In the meantime, it is only a female voice from the canned.

Mostly a woman, sometimes a man, depending on what to drive. But as long as I get to my goal, I don’t care.

In Berlin on the S-Bahn a man, in the subway, I think a woman, but is usually not really to hear because the driving noise is too loud.

Although I’m driving with the U7 almost daily, I haven’t noticed. As I said, the driving noise is so loud that I actually hear the announcements as well as not. It’s not bad, I can look out and see where I’m right now. With bus and tram I rarely drive, I can’t remember if I ever heard any announcements.

At the beginning of the 90s there were announcements on the U9. It was quite practical that they were for the next one right after starting in the last station when the train was still slow, the driving noise was not so loud.

All right. I’m in the same place right now. I used to find it more iconic when it was said in Berlin by the station supervisor, without a loudspeaker. But I also find the “Dörrarna stängs” of the Stockholm subway kultig (hopefully there is, I was not there for a long time)

I believe both. Mostly a woman, but I’m pretty sure I heard a man too.

By automation a female voice, but the driver is almost always male, i.e. when a real message comes, a man speaks.

Many different children speak that.

Child labour!?

No.

At the beginning it was the children of the staff and later from different schools.

Since they are not hired and the payment is more beneficial to the general public (environment of children and schools), this is legally guaranteed.

By the way, there were two reasons for this decision.

Once professional speakers are expensive and secondly, child voices on the bad speakers are better to understand.

And the feedback was mostly positive.
