Spotify file path (Windows 11)?
I would like to know where the Spotify program is stored on my laptop (Windows 11).
It should be an ".exe" file, right?
I downloaded Spotify from both the Microsoft Store and the Spotify website. As far as I know, the file should be saved in " C:\Users\[username]\AppData…………" or " C:\Program Files (x86)……………. "
Even with the search function I couldn't find the program file.
Does anyone know the solution to my problem?
Thank you in advance for the question.
Hello. Have you downloaded the program from the website? Then you can try to search for it in the download history of your browser (with example of Google Chrome). After you have found your file in the Downloads history, click on the three point and select the “View to Folder” option. Then find your file in the local folder.
You can view the exact path in the properties of the link that is either on your desktop or appears in the Windows search if you are looking for “Spotify”.
unfortunately this does not go, the path can be completely read, still open (see added picture)
The picture is the Windows Store version. The files are located in the WindowsApps folder. You have to get access to it first. The best way to googles after a tutorial is to go faster than if I copy all the steps here.
It should be in the Windowsapps folder. I don’t know the exact system path anymore.
Under, Downloads.
Downloads only include the “SpotifySetup.exe” file. This is just to install and set up Spotify. I want the program file that is already installed. It would have to be stored in the Explorer on Windows once.
Yes, under programs x86, there should be a folder.
Have I already looked, all programs are there, except the searched Spotify file 🙂
