Can I deduct a donation for someone else from my taxes?

Good day,

I would like to make a donation in the name of a family member. Can I deduct this from my own taxes if the donation is made under a different name but I pay it through my own account?

If you can prove that you paid her very much, yes.

But remember that donations are only beneficial when they are done to a non-profit organization.

You can only assert these expenses by tax that you had.

If you were not reimbursed, consideration might be possible.

What about donations made to a non-profit organization on the occasion of a death? Can a family member (in this case the daughter) claim the total tax?

When collected and a person transfers the total amount, the transferring person cannot receive an acknowledgement of the grant – but the individual donors (so that the non-profit organization would have to submit a corresponding list of individual donors).

Thank you, I see that. But at that time it was different.
