Speculation on the euro exchange rate?

Hello, I recently received money from my grandmother, who is now living in a retirement home. She lives abroad and gave me the amount in cash in euros. I live in Switzerland and would now like to have the money deposited into my account. When I tried to transfer the money to the bank over the counter, a lot of it was lost due to fees and the exchange rate. I didn't upload it, and I still have it. Should I wait until the franc depreciates again, or open a bank account in Germany? What do you think?
