Speedport smart 3 or 4?

Hello everyone,

Is there a speed difference between the Speedport smart 3 with external modem and the Speedport smart 4 with integrated modem for fiber optic connections?

Guess there won't be much. Only what the router can do (WLAN, telephony, etc. pp.). But purely from previous experiences with the speed ports….why not just a frustration box?

Speed difference… where ? WLAN, network switches/ports, computing power, …, ?

Neither the Speedport Smart 3, nor the Speedport Smart 4 (Type 4 A,B) has an integrated glass fiber modem. Both use an EXTERNAL modem for glass fibers.

Hello,

both routers run with an external modem.
Whatever router you use, they can both process all speeds of our fiber optic connections. :

The Smart 4 Plus and the Smart 3 can also process all our offered speeds. If this is the only reason for you to make a router bag, then it is not necessary. ^Danny
