speed camera tolerance

Hey, yesterday I was caught speeding at 75 km/h in a built-up area (75 on my speedometer), but since the speedometer always shows a bit more, it was about 72-73 real km/h and the 3 km/h tolerance is deducted from that, right?

I never drive that fast!!!

since the speedometer always shows a little more

Caution: The speedometer allowed to show a little more, but he must: not. There are also cars whose speedometers display exactly right.

Theoretically, your bill is that your speedometer at 70 km/h indicates about 2-3 km/h too much.

However, a 70 flasher does not dissolve at 73 km/h. As a rule, flashers are set in such a way that they only trigger when the speed failure "rewards", ie even after deduction of the tolerance, they still remain a few km/h.

Says:

  • Either, your speedometer doesn't show too much
  • or you had more than 75 on the speedometer
  • or it wasn't a 70s flasher.

The accuracy of the speedometer display depends on the diameter of the tires. Smaller tires or sloping slings ensure that more revolutions are required per kilometer than for large and new tires. Only in this way is shown considerably more on the speedometer than the actual speed.

But since you immediately leave the gas pedal after the flash, the speed on the speedometer is already well 3-5 km/h lower than the speed before the flash. You don't use the speedometer tolerance anymore.

Be sure you were at least 21 km/h too fast and soon the reward for it flutters into the house.

Considering that at this speed you would never have braked in time before a child suddenly running on the road, the penalty is just right. Main thing, you learn from it…

As soon as you were, you read in the news that soon flutters you into the house, yes, probably about 70 km/h.

Maybe you could be a bit more until you looked at the speedometer after the flash, you might have been slower than the photo.

It happened to me in the 30s zone. Located directly on the speedometer, about 40 km/h, thought I might get away with 35 km/h. Pustekuchen, 42 I think.

No, the flasher is calibrated and measures your real speed, not what's on your speedometer.

He can't look around the corner.

Of course, the flasher looks through the window on the speedometer …. 🙂 🙂 🙂

No, he measures what you drove.
