Do not know whether this is necessarily a social influence (although it certainly has a social component), but with the death of G.J.Cäsar the end of the Roman Republic and its beginning change to the empire is generally linked.

Caesar was murdered because he didn’t let anyone decide in the Senate, even though the senators had the order to keep the Roman rich together and that was only done by Julius Caesar and then at his last meeting in the Senate, he was murdered by his own son Brutus and murdered his friends by 300 senators,60 conspirators against him and with 24 stitches.
