Sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, zucchinikerne, melon seeds and cucumber seeds can be offered to hamsters. The cracking of their shell offers a small job. Make sure that the cores are untreated and provided without additives (salt etc.).

Since the cores contain many fats, they should only be fed in dimensions.

Here is another info page:

As far as I know, fodder paradise or fodder crowsing offers dried sunflower heads that are completely untreated.

Otherwise, there are sunflower seeds online (for example, in the shops mentioned by me) or also in zoo shops and partly in normal shops in bird feed.

Sometimes you can give them sunflower seeds. For example, you can just pick a sunflower and then give your hamster a nucleus that are unsalted 😉

Otherwise in animal shops there are often extra sunflower seeds for hamsters/small animals

I would say once a week 1-2 cores should be ok 🙂 unless your hamster is a bit overweight or we don’t say the thinnest then at most 1 times a week

For self-generated cores, please pay attention to storage. They must be dried really well before they are filled into a screw glass or the like. Otherwise, mold is easily formed.

Yes then you can give him/her carelessly to sunflower seeds 🙂

Sunflower seeds unprocessed, usually call themselves “nature leave”. But can also be ordered via Mixerama, feed paradise or feed crowsing. Best quality and controlled!

No, much too fat.

You may have the smallest quantities as a treat. But please not as standard food.
