Should you eat fish every day for iodine?

It's all about iodine. The daily requirement is 150 to 200 micrograms.

Salt consumption should not exceed 5 grams per day. With my daily salt intake, I get 50 micrograms of iodine.

Other iodine-containing foods that I eat (for example milk and yogurt) also contain a maximum of 50 micrograms of iodine.

I eat fish once a week – and I feel enough. I’m eating healthy. I have no problems with iodine or thyroid gland.

It is a sufficient portion – so ca. 200 grams.

If you eat well balanced, you have the necessary amount of iodine in the body anyway. If there is an increased amount of fish, then everyone who does not eat would have a problem and would have to sublime.

Regardless of this: eating fish is a good idea! In addition to the iodine, this brings further advantages anyway. In this sense: Fire free 🙂

Hello every day fish should not be eaten, at some point fish can no longer smell, iodine salt can be recommended, in many foods was old iodine salt in it, at home just to taste iodine salt, don’t worry so much about when there is no iodine deficiency. sufficient normal diet,

Fish contains a lot of purine, which is converted into uric acid in the body, which increases the risk of getting gout. So you shouldn’t overdo this with the fish. Or otherwise avoid purine-containing foods (e.g. poultry with skin or interiors).

Jod is important. But you can overdo it. Fish once or twice a week would be completely sufficient.

For example, I have a thyroid hyperfunction and therefore very little iodine. So you can’t flatter.

Five grams of Jodalz already have 100 and not only 50 micrograms of iodine. So you’re going easy. Eating fish is still a good choice.

If you eat cheese: there is also iodine in it and you can eat more than 5g of it.

Hm, if I look at Rewe Ja Jodsalz, that comes to 196 per 10g according to the information, which is just under 100 at 5g.

Bad Ischl iodine plate salt comes to 150 per 100g, so it probably has less.
