Should I go to drug counseling?

Hello first of all,

I'd like to go to a drug counselor to talk to an expert about my drug use, assess my risks, etc. Is the drug counselor bound to confidentiality even though I'm a minor, and can I ideally have a counseling session without my parents finding out? I'm actually doing well in school and have my life well under control, but I think my parents would still be worried if they heard about this.

Hello!

You can also write your problems anonymously here: https://narcotics-anonymous.de/

Beyond the 14th A consultant, like a doctor, has to adhere to the regulations of legal confidentiality.
So it would only be possible for (extreme) severe physical-psychic danger to you to consider whether the parents would have to be informed.
That’s not the case, as you say.
In other words, good idea to go there to orientation!

yes, normally there is no obligation, except your life is in danger, or you harm directly your fellow human being.

The drug consultation also advises anonymously. However, if a therapy is required, you will not be able to involve your parents.
