Das kommt ganz auf das Meerschweinchen an. Man kann das pauschal nicht sagen. Aber grundsätzlich ist es so, dass so gut wie gar kein Meerschweinchen es mag, gestreichelt zu werden. Zutraulich kann aber aber fast alle bekommen. Außerdem sind die Tiere sehr sozial und sehr tolle Beobachtungstiere. Sie sind aber nicht so pflegeleicht, wie alle immer sagen!
Meerschweinchen sind wechselaktiv und schlafen phasenweise. Sie sind etwa 4h wach und schlafen dann 4h. Das heißt, sie schlafen auch, wenn du wach bist, aber sind auch wach, wenn du wach bist. Du kannst dich also tagsüber mit ihnen beschäftigen und sie beobachten.
Ob sie schon zutraulich sind, kommt ganz darauf an, wo du sie her holst. Einige Tiere bekommst du schon zutraulich, bei anderen musst du dir das Vertrauen manchmal „hart erkämpfen“ aber mit viel Geduld bekommt man eigentlich jedes Meerschweinchen so weit, dass es aus der Hand frisst und auf Kommando zum Essen kommt. Den meisten kann man auch Kunststücke beibringen.
Womit du nicht rechnen solltest, ist das sie sich streicheln lassen. Das gibt es nur selten und sollte auf freiwilliger Basis also nur im Gehege geschehen, wenn sie weglaufen können.
Nun zu der Frage
Jetzt auf jeden Fall noch nicht. Du bist noch nicht gut genug informiert. Das erkenne ich beispielsweise daran, dass du 2-3 Weibchen halten würdest. Eine reine Weibchen Gruppe ist das Einzige was man auf gar keinen Fall machen sollte. Entweder Harem (1 männlicher Kastrat und mehrere Weibchen) oder eine reine Böckchengruppe (nur männliche Kastraten). Für Anfänger empfehle ich aber ein Harem. Bockgruppen sind deutlich anspruchsvoller.

DANN würde ich sagen, du kannst dir Meerschweinchen holen. Vorher muss natürlich das Gehege fertig sein, Futter bereitstehen etc.

Futter
Das Grundnahrungsmittel Meerschweinchen sind Gräser und Kräuter. Sogenannte Wiese. Wiese wird etwa von Ende Februar bis Dezember verfüttert. In der Zeit, in der es nicht geht, füttert man blättriges Grün und Vitaminreiches Gemüse.
Heu und Wasser sollten immer zur Verfügung stehen. Das Gras muss man selber ernten gehen. Das ist aufwendig und kostet viel Zeit, aber gehört zur Meerschweinchen Haltung dazu!
Maße des Futters
– mindestens 200g pro Tier →lieber 300g
– am besten so viel, dass bis zur nächsten Fütterung noch ein wenig da ist
Übrings müssen alle unbekannten Futtermittel oder welche, die sie längere Zeit nicht hatten gründlich angefüttert werden!!
Aufwand
Es kostet besonders viel Zeit, Gras holen zu gehen. Wenn du nicht zum täglichen Wieseholen im Sommer (und Herbst sowie Frühling) bereit bist, dann solltest du dir keine Meerschweinchen anschaffen. Man muss außerdem noch alle paar Tage die Pipiecken reinigen, 1x die Woche alles gründlich reinigen, Gemüse kaufen und anrichten, Heu täglich nachfüllen…….
Kosten
Meerschweinchen sind sehr kostenintensiv. Sie sind keine einfachen, pflegeleichten Tiere. Die Tierarztkosten können explodieren. Futterkosten fallen im Sommer kaum an, aber das Gemüse im Winter ist irre teuer
(ungefähre Preise, von mir mit Dreisatz berechnet. Nicht sehr genau, aber doch schon recht aussagekräftig)
Die Erstanschaffung kostet auch mehrere hundert Euro. Spätere TA Kosten können auch Mal in den 3-4 stelligen Bereich rutschen.
Alter
–mindestens ein Tier, dass 2 Jahre oder älter ist
-es sollte mindest 1 Tier vorhanden sein, dass weniger als 3 Jahre älter/jünger ist
