In the private sector, a CAT 5e is still good, but if you want to look into the future and make sure you have something to do with the CAT 7.

CAT 8 is superior in all respects to predecessors, but also only at relatively short distances. CAT8 should be used to a maximum distance of 30m. 30M sounds quite a lot, but you want to move it clean inside the apartment 30m quickly consumed.

CAT6 or much more CAT6a can also be used, but then rather the CAT6a, which also allows speeds of 100m.

Your question answered:

You can use CAT6a just like CAT5e or Cat7. CAT8 is worth considering at short distances, but in my eyes the money is not worth.

In the short term, you can use the CAT5 just like the CAT6a, both allow gigabit speeds. CAT7 is a little better suited for the future and for long-term wiring this would be my first choice.

No, on the contrary, for longer distances you need better cables, simple cables for short distances are enough. Because the cable must be in the overall limit that the components function without interference and loss.

If you want as low as possible, this starts at the house connection. You get the lowest laths with glass fiber (<5ms).

The cable in the house makes only a relatively small difference, but if you place as low as possible laths, then use the CAT8.

In the end, you do not slow down the cable in your own house, but the connection outside the house and the servers you want to access.

If you want to tick out the last bit of latency, you also need to connect the CAT8 directly to the modem, you only go there via a distributor which is “slower” connected (e.g. a switch) it doesn’t use it.

The cable in the house makes when it works properly, CONCERNING NO difference.

This depends on how the cable is to be laid. Dual – Cat 8 Kable are not a bad idea to be ready for the future. If you can easily swap the cables you only take those you actually need.

I want the best possible connection, the best possible ping and generally a very good connection.

Ping and connection depend on the used network card and the switch/router. And when it comes to the internet, of course, primarily from the internet connection itself. The cable only has to be good enough that it works, that is to say that there are no packing losses and the components do not shut down. A better cable does not have any advantages.

This depends on how fast your Internet could be theoretical. For 99% of people, cat will reach 6 LOCKER, probably for you.

I don’t think you have the money for the hardware or the need

If it’s just a few meters, it doesn’t matter.
