Software Installer fragen nicht mehr nach Installationsort?
Hallo liebe GuteFrage-Community,
Ich habe folgendes Problem: Mir ist aufgefallen, dass neu installierte programme immer automatisch auf die Datenträger (also Windows C) installiert werden und nicht vorher fragen, auf welche Festplatte das Programm eigentlich soll. Das hat dazu geführt, dass ich diese Programme nicht nutzen kann, wie zum Beispiel Auto-Tune. Immer spbald ich Auto-Tune öffne und die Plugins installieren will, öffnet sich der befehlsprozessor und fragt, ob ich Änderungen zulassen möchte. Nachdem ich dann auf “Ja” klicke, installiert das Programm nicht und ich kann wieder auf installieren drücken.
Selbes Problem mit einem anderen Programm, Waves Central. Beim Installer angekommen möchte ich die Plugins installieren, allerdings sagt dieser mir dass ich zu wenig Speicherplatz habe, obwohl auf meiner D Festplatte über 500gb noch frei sind. Und obwohl ich im Installer den Installationsort zu D ändere, sagt er mir immer noch, dass ich zu wenig Speicherplatz habe.
Kennt sich jemand damit aus und kann mir helfen?

C:/Program Files is provided by Windows as a standard for installed software and therefore software distributors will also adhere to it. Neither do any reason to do that. However, you should be able to manually select a location for each reasonably reasonable software as desired.
The problem you describe will have nothing to do with the selected installation path.

The problem I have here is that the software that would normally ask for an installation site just don’t do. I know that from a variety of videos or even familiar ones that use the same software.
I came to the conclusion that this must be the reason that the software does not allow to operate because I did not have any other reason and I did not really find an approach on the Internet to solve this. Only similar problems with the installation site.
