In my knowledge, Snipping Tool does not automatically store the images.

If you go to Save after creating the image, you will get the selection to name and folder selection

Otherwise, you can think of using +print to make a screenshot that is automatically stored in the image folder.

The same is the “traditional” screen shot with old + print. Do not insert the intermediate store anywhere, land it when driving down in Nirvana.

Instead of snipping tools, I would rather recommend this screenshot program: https://flameshot.org/ There you can set the location where the screenshots are then saved. This happens when you click Save after creating the screenshot. It is named after date and time. You can also copy the screenshot to the clipboard. As file format I recommend PNG. This is compressed without loss. This has more features than the snipping tool.

The snipping tool does not automatically store images.

I recommend this ShareX.
