Snapchat – why so much storage space?

Hi,

My question actually has two parts. Whenever I used my phone, I got a notification that my storage was full. When I checked why it was so full, it was always Snapchat, with around 25-28GB, that was taking up so much storage space.
First question: what does it consist of?

I haven't been getting the notification for a few hours now. I checked how much storage space I have left and it says that Snapchat is only using 5.7GB.

Second question: how can this be if I haven't deleted any data or photos or anything?

Thanks for any answers, I'm just interested!!

The Snapchat memory is composed of photos and videos, possibly saved text messages etc. If you had loaded enough, it can take some storage. Did you delete the cache?- these are data you don't need essential, but affect the memory.

There were still problems with the iPhone memory display some time ago:

Make sure you have one of the new updates.

If you've logged in to other devices, that might also be a mess.
