Smoothie blender makes smoothies that taste like burnt plastic?

We have a blender at home, and I think it's a bit old. Recently, it's been smelling weird. I can't quite describe it, but it's kind of like burning plastic or a burnt engine or something. I don't know, I don't really know myself. The smoothies taste like that, though.
My grandfather, with whom I live, doesn't believe me and says it's because of the ingredients, because he can't taste or smell it. But this has happened several times now, and it annoys me so much that he doesn't believe me and laughs at me.
Anyway, I wanted to ask if anyone knows what this could be. I really want to prove to them that I'm right.

Hi, Rudi2017.

That’s the mixer, not the content.

Certainly, this is an age wear.

You should get away.

Greetings, Renate.

this is on the machine, not on the vegetables, where should the taste of the “plastic” taste come from?

buy you a new one that is dangerous and can lead to a “brand”.

Well, my grandfather just doesn’t believe me and says that the funny taste lies in the strawberries I put in there. But it’s been more often, not just with them. Unfortunately, he is mega stubborn and believes it only when he notices it himself. He probably won’t believe me until he sees himself that the mixer is burning. 🙄

eat the vegetables just like that – then do not need a porridge for toothless
