Smart Home verschiedene Protokolle/Funkarten?

Hallo,

If you don’t stand on Bastelei to now install Home Assistant, ioBroker etc. pp, then you just stay homey or Homes.

So my recommendation would be as much as possible to buy the mats. You’re flexible. Best About Thread or Hold Normal Wi-Fi. Then you don’t have to worry about it, in the worst case you have a few bridges for special functions or something like a Hue Bridge makes the ZigBee lamps available as a Matter device in the remaining (W)LAN.

But in itself, it works as you think if you have a device like Homey which can control it at the same time. Whether Homey or Home Assistant, etc., it doesn’t matter. Sometimes there are problems that, for example, ZigBee devices only go with a certain ZigBee Bridge, but in general it goes mostly.

My Setup

Personally, I’m letting everything go through a HomePod, the automations are more limited. He then communicates via Matter or Thread or HomeKit support with the devices. As a result, I am also relatively flexible to switch to another controller, because most of the matter can. I have Philips Hue, which is based on ZigBee, because the Hue Bridge is also integrated into Apple HomeKit via Matter and so I also have all ZigBee lamps. My heating I control over Tado, the new one can also Matter + Thread, but the bridge is still needed for some special functions. In the long term, I might want to use Home Assistant.
