Small bruise around dog scratch?

My dog scratched me today (it didn't bleed) while we were swimming in the lake. Now a small bruise has appeared around the scratch. I think the one above it also appeared when I was swimming with my dog. I should also mention that a few days ago she found a dead rat (it must have been dead for a few months) in my barn and started playing with it.
I'm a bit of a hypochondriac, so I'm already imagining the worst-case scenarios in my head.
So… does this look like the onset of sepsis or even rat fever?
