Slug dead!?!😭😭?

Hello folks..

This morning, I saw a long trail of snail slime in the meadow and traced it back to this snail. I named it Rudolf and even put some parsley down and sprayed it with a little water because I thought it might not be feeling well. Then I drove away, and when I came back, RUDOLF WAS LAYING THERE DEAD! He had moved maybe 5 cm further than I left him, and he hadn't touched the parsley. Could it really be that he's dead???😭
