SLI/ Second GPU?
Hi,
I have an RTX 4060 Ti 16GB MSI. I'm considering getting a more powerful GPU. If I get, say, a 4070 Super or a 4080, can I install that as a second GPU and still use the 4060? I have a second slot on the motherboard. I've already looked online but haven't found anything suitable.
thanks in advance
The 4060Ti cannot be SLI. And if she could, then only with another 4060Ti 16GB. In addition, the motherboard min would have to provide 8 lanes per card, which is hardly yet available
Hello,
SLI is only possible with two identical graphics cards. Apart from that, the RTX 4060Ti does not support this feature. That’s hardly a map. The principle is also dead from the software.
For you to upgrade it should be a RTX 4080 btw. AMD RX 7900XT or better.
LG
Nee, they no longer have the SLI connections.
For SLI you also need two exactly identical graphics cards.
Could add the new card, but the lower PCIE slot is slower and you can only always use a graphics card at the moment, so for example when zooming one or the other.
Doesn’t make any sense.
I would sell the slower card and use the new ones.
