Sleep paralysis or normal dreams?
Last night I had a dream that I was standing in front of a window where you can see your reflection or a mirror, and then someone was standing behind me (several times with different people). However, my eyes kept opening or something. In the end, I wanted to look at my window in my room to see if someone was standing behind me, and then I wanted to try to get up in real life, but I just couldn't. But I was still half asleep and then I managed to get up. Then I saw that someone was standing behind me too, and that was a real shock because I just wasn't expecting it. Then I woke up with a start, but I was still in a kind of "shock" and couldn't move completely right away. Can someone maybe help me and explain what that was? That would be really nice.

Hello,
When you were half asleep, you may have perceived your body's sleep paralysis, but were still in a dream. The dream seems to have been quite thin at that point, which made it possible to perceive the sleep paralysis of your real body.
Sleep paralysis usually occurs during REM sleep and prevents us from actually performing the movements we experience in our dreams. Therefore, it's possible to perceive them in thin/unstable dreams.
Because of the sudden awakening, it could be that your brain was still a bit behind and was not able to resolve the sleep paralysis so quickly, which is why you were temporarily unable to move after waking up.
Best wishes and all the best! 🌺
