Keeping / socializing angelfish?
Hello, I have practically adopted an angelfish because my neighbor gave up his aquarium and the angelfish was the last survivor. My question is, can you tell if it is a male or female? How should I best socialize it? It has been living with me for about 1.5 weeks now and gets along great with my neons and gouramis. Very calm and sweet.
Judging the round Kopofform is a male more likely than a female. But it is not really safe, there are fewer females with a round head.
The only really safe distinguishing feature is the genital alpapille, which is only extended in pairing mood. That is why it is not possible to buy young animals by sex.
Socialization with foreign scales is always problematic. It’s a lot of crayons. This can be the worst fights and dead.
Until now he is with the quietest in the pool the thread fish and he has no problem with each other the scalar floats everywhere free no one has formed a precinct until now (Fadenfische are already here about 6 months) before (I was told he lived in a small group of 3 scalar) I should rather buy a young small scale or already a grown-up of mine is already very large
Hi.
Could be males, but save the stress and uncertainty and the possible deaths to put even more scalar in.
The pelvis already has a competing similar species of fish with the fish…. rather leave the scalar alone. Destiny has spoken:-)
The young fish in the zoo trade have no recognizable gender differences.
It should be a male.
Got a pretty copy.
Beware of a similar female 🙂
I have read that they can then be partially aggressive
Only if they protect their legs.
But they should be able to find a quiet corner because they may not be so hectic.
He’ll be much bigger.
You shouldn’t get one too small, but you don’t get the wild-farb variant anywhere.

No, they can easily kill each other, they are very individual beaks.
