Sixt Autovermietung?
Hey Leute,
habe mir heute Beruflich ein Auto von Sixt mieten müssen. Jetzt ist die Spiegelkappe beim Bremsen ab gefallen und landete auf dem Boden, weshalb 2 Kratzer zu sehen sind.
Ich habe das Auto mit 300€ Selbstbeteiligung gemietet, aber dafür kann ich ja nichts.
Wie läuft das ab? Die werden wohl auch sagen klar kann jeder sagen aber ich habe zum Glück 2 Zeugen die das bestätigen können. Wie wird das gehandhabt? Wird die Kaufion einbehalten für einen Schaden für den ich ganz sicher nichts kann und der Fehler am Auto liegt?

Can you prove that the damage was already in advance (by appropriate documentation)?
As a tenant, you are only liable for negligence, not for wear and error in the car.
Then I’m lucky I didn’t trade negligence when braking at the intersection 😂
Sure, but I can’t look in the material in that case. If a tip was broken behind the mirror cap, I don’t see it in control.
For scratches or paint damage, of course, this looks different, clear. But in such a case?
You can preview the car and document all damages accordingly. In doubt, you came back with a “caputted car”.
I don’t see when and why a mirror cap suddenly falls off from a new car when used. This cannot be demanded from the vehicle renter. I can’t predict when a car will suffer a motor damage, unless I control the engine before and build it.
