At the abdomen and at the back of the nose(??), there is a white food. Even if the specimen on the photo does not seem so happy with it.

I’ve heard this (no idea if it’s true) the zebras are black with white stripes because the skin on the mouth is also black ̄\_(ツ)_/ ̄

Do Zebras actually have white or black stripes?

Susanne Åkesson from the University of Lund, Sweden,
said FAZ.NET 2013 in an interview: “Zebras get their stripes very late just before they are born. First, the fetuses have a black coat, then they develop white stripes. That means Zebras were originally black animals.” White stripes on dark animals protect better from tingling insects.

So Zebras are black with white stripes.

it is both equally present because it may occur the black stripe only come after birth etc. but regularly it was born with shrartzen and white… and thus 50/50 of my opinion…

Moreover, you can still measure it and count it in %… how much black and white is… but believe me… it would always tend to be the 50/50….

In the film Madagascar, the lion says that he recognizes Martin the zebra that all the other zebras are white with black stripes, but Martin is the only black with white stripes

When you look at the picture, you probably think white with black stripes, because I also know the abdominal surface. But I think once I’ve read that it’s different because Zebras are completely black before birth.

When you look at the belly, you can see that white is actually the basic color and then black stripes are on it. At the muzzle you can also see it.

I know that the skin is black under the skin, but when you look at the strips, the basic fur is white and the strips black.

It’s not a real argument. Many animals change the color of the fur or feather dress, you would grow up. You wouldn’t say that a grey-gance would actually be yellow with a very wide gray stripe.

My source is this: “This question was long unexplained. In most zebras, the strips end on the belly and the insides of the legs, the rest is white. Some zebras are mainly black with white stripes. The skin under her fur is by the way black, not stripped.”

Look at the zebra’s belly on the picture you’ve posted. He’s white. Thus the zebra is more white than black and thus has black strips.

neither!

Zebras are colourless and have black and white stripes, on the legs also rings.
If the basic color was black (black and white aren’t even colors) it would have to be possible to recognize the color paint by elevations. Conversely, it would be even better recognizable. Because a white paint would have to be thicker to cover black.

It could be a lamination.

During the pregnancy of the mare, the zebra is only black. Shortly before birth, the white stripes form

My interference, because her skin is black. (For me too are polar bears black:D)

The coat is black and white in places. So the zebra is black and white.
