Are trainees who then study welcome?
Hello,
I'm currently in the second year of my apprenticeship as an industrial clerk and have already enrolled in a business studies program. I want to focus on controlling. I don't want to stay with my current employer. When should I start applying? Unfortunately, the job postings always require a completed degree. What do you think I should do? Should I stick with my current employer for 3-4 years? I'm hoping for some helpful advice!
Thank you very much and best regards!
After training, I studied secondary and then applied for a new full-time job. That the study had not yet been completed was not a problem at the time. The salary might be higher if you were through…
What are you doing, and why are you already immatricated when you are still in normal training? After all, one does not apply to the university shortly before (for me it was about 3-4 months before the beginning).
And do you mean you want to apply for a new full-time job? Then you can bend it anyway, because you can only work 20 hours in the lecture period.
But in principle you can, of course, make a study after training. With me in the course of study (BWL), there are also many who have completed training beforehand.
Hi, I should have mentioned that I’m studying at the Iu, these have flexible time models. Then I applied for 2025.
Too little info. So you already have an HS maturity matching your studies? My fellow students, who have been trained before, have only become one during or after training. HS ripeness made and needed a completed training or at least one practicium which meets certain requirements.
In addition, it is always more beautiful to complete the training if it is somehow possible.

Hi.
I will of course complete the training. I’ve got my Abitur. I could have written that in too sorry!
my question is actually just whether companies accept a prospective student or whether they immediately reject it, as it is not qualified. Another question would be when I should apply, provided I complete my training on 01.08.2025.
Application deadlines for studying see website of the university.
Otherwise in doubt always at least. apply half a year in advance.
There are side jobs for students who are more geared to getting students something suitable for studying practical exercise. Any other appropriate knowledge can increase the chances of getting a job.
As for other jobs as a student, especially the couple of weeks where you don’t have exams, block courses, etc. between the semesters, you can still see what you can get at such short-term (full-time) places. It’s just about earning money, it doesn’t have to do with studying. All knowledge or previous professional qualifications can be of advantage.

According to my experience, this, at least in the construction industry, is very much seen. I made him a roommate training and now I’m studying dual civil engineering. The training has definitely helped me in such a few points and has brought me some positive points with my current boss.
You want to work and study next to, or work as a student, or what do you want to apply for? And did you want to break the training, or study it? Kind of hard to understand…
Actually, you can apply as early as possible (as far as I know) and also for companies that have not written a job. So I was at least successful for my education and now my studies regarding a work/practice place. Otherwise I would have found little near me.
I want to complete my education and then study. I’ve got my Abitur.
It is more “sense-free” in most cases. Of course, the person has at least a certain professional experience, but usually one does training or study – OR a dual study.
Do you have a full-time work next to your studies? Then you can only apply to positions where you would come in with training.
This.
That answers my question very well. So you mean the companies wouldn’t take an approaching student as a first choice? In such a way, is this an argument for yourself that you are studying?
If one person is looking for a degree, they wouldn’t consider the person at all.
Otherwise, it could be rather disadvantageous in an interview. If you’re studying full-time, you’ll be realistic in the job pretty much at A**** and more exhausted than others.
If a job is required to study, a previous training usually does not give you any chances.
In some places there is “study or training to xy”, then of course. Then, however, this is very complicated to successfully complete a full-time study.
