This is not too much, but the car has the M271 gasoline engine on board, which I only recommend to a limited extent, as there are frequent problems with the control chain: it usually runs between 80 and 120,000 kilometres; the chain change costs about 1000 euros, but often it becomes more expensive because the camshaft wheels have damaged. The beautiful pensioner cars are also affected.

If the chain has not already been replaced, I would take distance from the vehicle. Even the processing in the interior is worse in the W204 than in the previous models and does not correspond to a Mercedes; the 204 was the first Mercedes for me, where it was clear after first press photos that I did not buy it. I have therefore changed from the old (1997) C-Class W202 directly to the E-Class W211.

The price is too high; for 11,500 euros there is already a car with half kilometers. Most of the extras listed here were already standard in 2008. There’s often label dizziness.

The kms are already ok when it is maintained… but find the price quite high

Kilometers are never a single indication of the state. A well-maintained car with 400,000km can be better than a descending car with 75,000km.

If he was always well maintained with reasonable parts, that’s okay. Although the price is very high for a 15 year old C class

The C200 as a gasoline compressor uses a lot. It’s only right if you hang a little harder on the gas. Therefore, the carriage would be nothing for anyway.

Apart from that, it is always important to look at the box exactly. And if I write “precisely” I mean that. So the most common condition. These include, for example, from the outside for damages, color differences and, as many forget, the gap dimensions.

In addition, e.g.

  • Brakes
  • Shock absorber
  • Wheels and tyres
  • all discs including possibly. the GHD
  • Backlights, headlights
  • Lighting
  • whether there is a maintenance store
  • Motor run – very important the control chain
  • Circuit
  • Steering
  • the interior

In addition, you look at possible leaks. In the engine room you check the screws of the fender and the lock carrier from the inside. Should they have been solved there was usually something.

In your position, I would like to check out Mobile and Co. if the price fits.

And another tip. You can never look at a vehicle alone.

One more word for running performance. In principle, higher kilometers are usually not a problem. If everything has always been properly maintained and the wear parts have been changed regularly, this fits.

The higher the running performances, the more accurate you look at the box.

That’s normal.

is 15 years old and has 150,000km, so it is approx. 10,000km.

Pay attention to maintenance/maintenance, which is much more important than the mileage level.
