Simson S51 Neuaufbau?
Diese Frage richtet sich an diejenigen die schonmal eine Simson neu aufgebaut haben.
Ich habe eine Simson S51 für 700€ bekommen, es ist alles Original und sie läuft auchnoch gut. Jedoch bin ich immoment am überlegen sie neu aufzubauen und den Rahmen Pulverbeschichten zu lassen. Jetzt meine Frage an die Community: ist es schwer eine Simson neu aufzubauen wenn man nicht soo viel Erfahrung hat? Meine Eltern hatten in ihrer Kindheit auch mal eine aber damals wurden die ja noch nicht neu Aufgebaut somit haben meine Eltern auch keine Erfahrung mit dem Neuaufbau aber mein Vater kennt sich halt mit der Maschine an sich ein bisschen aus. An der Technik muss nichts weiter gemacht werden aber ich habe in der zukunft vor eine 12V Vape zündung einzubauen und weiß halt nicht ob man dafür einen Extra Kabelbaum nachrüsten muss usw.

If you have no idea of technology and screwing and two left hands, it is of course difficult. Especially if you don’t have a suitable tool. However, if you are technically talented and have access to tools, space and in case of emergency to the specialists, it is certainly super easy. I’ve never rebuilt a Simson, but in my first car, after half a year, I disassembled the engine (failure search for engine damage) and then at the end a completely used motor, disassembled, cleaned, re-sealed and assembled into the car, was no problem for me. But there are people who can’t even change the wheels.
It’s not really hard. Mechanically everything is more or less self-explanatory, assembly is really fun. Cables are a little bit of puffy.

If you have someone nearby, you know, get in touch with him. Then you could always ask something. Otherwise, the Simson community is also active on the Internet in the form of forums. If you have no idea, for example, you should regenerate from the engine a workshop.

With some YouTube channels you can make almost everything on the moped yourself.
In my opinion, OstOase is the best retailer for Simson parts, but in some parts I would advise you more about eBay classifieds that you later have as much as possible original parts on the moped.
I wouldn’t have to rain. But thanks for the answer. Have looked through all the videos of simson Limmi and 2RadGeber 😂 I live in NRW and therefore there are no Simson drivers in my circle
There are also some screwdrivers… living in Hesse, and I know some Simson fans, you get to know vllt when you’re glooming through the area with your mob;)
