Simson driving winter/salt?

Hello,

I'm currently still driving a Simson and wanted to ask how long I have to remove the salt if there's any lying around without it attacking everything and causing damage?

These things are ancient and were driven in all weathers in the GDR. They also used salt back then. So just don't worry about it, as long as you clean them regularly.

Until November 2025

The salt ions mixed with the water accelerate rust formation. Nevertheless, it usually takes years for rust to form.

Unfortunately not. One ride on salt is enough to cause rust.

True. After a year. But it's enough if he washes his moped on occasion.

No, two days later the rust was there.

Then you have to clean the machine thoroughly immediately after the ride.
