Does anyone know which restaurants/hotels in Erfurt host New Year's Eve parties with music? It should be possible to go with older people, as we want to celebrate with my parents (ages 76 and 81). It would also be interesting to find accommodation within a 50-km radius. Whether the music is taped or live doesn't matter; the main thing is that you can get some exercise. 🙂 Thanks in advance for your answers!

Is it more impolite for the guest to only order food but not anything to drink (to say no when asked) or is it more impolite for the staff to wrinkle their nose or look puzzled when the guest refuses to drink?
Do you tip at restaurants or delivery services? If so, do you always do so, and is the tip proportionate to the bill?
Hi, which store sells onion powder? I've been to Aldi, Rewe, and Edeka, but if I had anything, it was just "chopped onions." I can't find it anywhere! LG Krawda
On New Year’s Eve everything is dead from 4pm to 1pm, most people are celebrating at home with family or friends from 9pm to 22pm, the younger people are then mostly out of 1pm after the fireworks and clean up shorts, and the older people often go to bed early and then go to dinner early on New Year’s Day.
