New Year’s Eve rituals / traditions and customs?
What are you doing for New Year's Eve or in the new year itself (I don't mean firecrackers and rockets and champagne and eating pancakes/Berliner).
- We will cast lead (or wax) again
- Write wishes on small pieces of paper (no one is allowed to see them) and burn them
- Midnight call everyone who is important to me and wish them well
- New Year's run in the community
- make lots of good resolutions (more hiking, less Netflix, etc.)
- Burying money in the garden (small change)

Good idea. Maybe I’ll go back to the concert. In the past, many in (East) Berlin went to the concert to Beethoven’s 9th symphony “Freude schön Gottfunke” as a New Year’s ritual. I just remembered. It’s been so long. Thank you.
Had too many of them. Is a recurring ritual similar to teeth cleaning
Hopefully sleep at midnight and then tomorrow morning to sunrise turn my first round in the new year. There is one who owns the world and everything is so calm and peaceful.
