Sight in the animal kingdom?

Hello everyone,

I'm taking a biology exam tomorrow, and this topic will come up. Unfortunately, I don't fully understand it yet. I've already looked it up in my biology textbook, and unfortunately, there's nothing there about it. Could someone perhaps explain to me how the sense of sight evolved in the animal kingdom?

Thank you in advance 🙂

It will probably be about the evolution of the eye.

Of course you find something. Facet eyes, mug eyes, pit eyes……, these are all evolutionary developments, of course in animals.
