Sick pay or ALG1?

Good morning dear ones,

I have a concern. I've resigned for health reasons. Effective April 17th.

I'm still on probation, have worked two more days and have been on sick leave since Monday.

What is it like now after the termination?

If the sick note continues to run.

Will I be blocked from receiving health insurance benefits like I am with ALG1 because I quit my own accord?

Thanks for your answers.

If you resigned after your sick leave, your sick pay may be suspended for up to 12 weeks.

You are not entitled to ALG – 1 if you are already AU – because you not only have to fulfill the qualifying period for ALG – 1, but you also have to be available for job placement.

Only if you are already receiving ALG – 1 and are then written off sick, you can continue to receive ALG – 1 for up to 6 weeks, after which you can receive sickness benefit in the amount of ALG – 1 for a maximum of 72 weeks.

If there is no entitlement to continued payment of wages from the employer for up to 6 weeks, nor to sick pay or ALG – 1, the only option is to apply for citizen's allowance at the job center.

As far as I know, there is no waiting period for sick pay 🙂

If you become ill within the first four weeks of employment, you are entitled to sick pay.

Otherwise, only from the seventh week of incapacity for work.

I'm not eligible for sick pay in this employment relationship. I'm waiting for a call from the health insurance company.

Then I don't understand why you're waiting for a call back.

Either you are entitled to sick pay or you are not.

If no, the employer will continue to pay the employee's salary in the event of illness until the end of the contract.

Employment agency or job center. Depending on your needs.

Unemployment benefit takes priority over citizen's allowance.

I don't understand the connection.

The voluntary resignation has nothing to do with it.

Either you are entitled to sick pay or you are not.

If no, the employer will continue to pay the employee's salary in the event of illness until the end of the contract.

This is what I found:

Sickness benefit is generally paid even after the employment relationship has ended . This also applies if the employee resigns and then if ill. If the employee resigns after becoming unfit for work and has no reasonable reason, they will not receive sickness benefit for up to twelve weeks.

I suspect you haven't worked enough hours. Just call your health insurance company.

If you have been employed by your employer for more than 4 weeks, you will continue to receive your salary from your employer until the end of the notice period.

We do not know whether you are entitled to receive ALG I.

You ask the employment agency.
