I do it at least… but as well as sample readers are important: in those who have a completely different look at the book!

Definitely. However, it should also be allowed to make at least one “corner reader”; especially for logic errors or even only inconsistencies (in a scene the figure has blond hair; 3 scenes further she is dark-haired – why?) in history. However, the editor at the publishing house is happy when he gets to read a manuscript where he has little to nothing to expose.

But not only oneself, but also others (e.g. editors). I noticed, for example, that other mistakes have occurred rather than myself. I’ve reworked the work several times and let my friends look over it. All of them gave me a list of mistakes that I wouldn’t have noticed.

Once read (especially attentive) – but that is not enough. There should always be someone who knows the subject. “Own mistakes” are easily overlooked.

If you want to publish it, yes.

The proble readers are basically only there for controlling and can even overlook something.

Absolutely. You also need a good editor.

Many are blind for their own mistakes.

If you want to publish it, you should read it several times, but you should also read it from editors, family, ….

Hello,

if you plan to publish your books, you even need a editor. You get too fast operating blind and enjoys his own mistakes.
