Should you pay attention to the power consumption of a monitor when purchasing it?

Hello folks!

After several years, the time has come for me to get a new gaming monitor.
My selection is limited to Alienware monitors (company), as my goal is gaming, and everyday use is a given for a monitor. Fortunately, the Alienware monitor selection is very limited, and my needs fit my budget.

However, I still have an important question: Should you pay attention to the power consumption of a monitor? (I realize that something that uses less power will have a less noticeable impact on your bill later on. But with monitors, power consumption can "only" be measured in tens, 20s, or 30s of kWh.) Is power consumption also a deciding factor for a monitor?

I would be grateful for any answer!

Greetings – Denis!

The selection is limited only to Alienware Monitors (company)

No, it’s not. So every manufacturer nowadays has 144 Hz monitors.

If you pay attention to the power consumption on a monitor

Yes, you should pay attention to power consumption everywhere, even on monitors

So that you’re limited to aliens only isn’t the smartest, but to look at the consumption on monitors is unnecessary.

The differences are minimal.

The power consumption is always a criterion. Sure.
