Should I take a riding lesson today?
I haven't ridden in three years, and tomorrow I'm finally going to see a riding school again. I thought, because I'm so scared that I won't be able to do anything anymore, I could take a riding lesson at a farm to see what I can still do. I contacted the farm for a private lesson, and a spot opened up today. It's €50, which I think is quite expensive, but would it still be worth it?
Would it be a good idea to do this before I look at the RB tomorrow and then I'm completely afraid of doing something wrong?
You have to know that for yourself – lessons only hurt in the rarest cases.
Isn’t your first question about the RB history, and is still afraid to make everything completely wrong. Ergo, your questions and the answers so far could not help.
If it’s worth it, why not say? 50€ is not a snapper, but may not be too badly invested. Edit: 50€ for school horse and individual lessons, by the way, I find quite cheap.
For your personal abdominal feeling, you can take the riding hour (Attention Muscle Cat).
In the end, however, only riding lessons take place over several days/weeks to get back right (don’t look like a professional rider at you).
You should definitely do that if you don’t get the RB tomorrow.
Or even if you get it so that you don’t get too blue-eyed on the RB horse.
Otherwise, in the RB presentation be absolutely (!) honest and open … the PB will notice how you are on it and whether it has meaning with you, even if you are still doing something unhappy during the first times.
I would definitely do that. Not “to see what I still can” but simply because
I don’t think a riding lesson can take your uncertainty. Either it’s going really well today and you’re “too careless” or “too careless” tomorrow. it doesn’t mean that everything works with the RB tomorrow, even if it worked today.
And in a riding lesson, you may not be able to catch up any deficits.
Just go there tomorrow, say you haven’t been sitting on a horse for a long time and is good. The owner will then decide whether you will be in question or one of the other candidates that will certainly exist. And then a riding lesson shouldn’t take you out of the crowd beforehand. your optics should be a hurdle.
50€ is absolutely not very expensive for a single hour, at least not in my corner. This is a normal price, especially when it is not on its own but on a school horse.
If there’s only 1 h now, the question is. Think not. Then you’ll also show up with muscle cats tomorrow at the RB. But it’s also good for you to just get a little feeling for the horse again, no one can know here – just yourself.
Just be honest with the RB and don’t tell me what’s wrong. Just stay with the truth and say that you are not sitting on the horse 3 J. and you have to find yourself in again.
It wouldn’t be bad to have a refresh again, then you feel safer tomorrow
If the owner knows that you haven’t been ridden for a long time, you don’t need the horse
Just listen to your gut feeling
50€ for a private hour is quite normal with us
50 euro for a week is not overly expensive.
take riding hours and leave this with the RB for the first time.
that is now number 3 or 4 of the same ask. but the next one is reported several times.
if the RB knows you haven’t been ridden for 3 years, I wouldn’t do it. How long have you been rid of it? if there were several years don’t worry. Is like cycling
Like cycling… yes, you don’t fall. But you don’t get far when you’re out of practice for more years.
Above all, if you look so insanely much value on the external teaching, you probably look quite old in unskilled condition. But then a single exercise lesson does not change much.
