I had always dreamed of writing a book.
Write? Yes, definitely!
Whether you want to upload this is such a thing. WattPad is a writer platform. No one’s reading. Especially when you don’t massively serve the platform – which costs a lot of time. Depending on how serious you take this and what you write, you can also choose other options. Belletristica is smaller but “weather” than WP. Or you participate in alerts and try to be so good that your stories are published in anthologies.
But I’d guess Fanfiktion.de.
From my experience, fan fiction is a bit more clear.
There are categories and corresponding subcategories, so you can find the stories you are looking for.
The latest stories always come up top or the ones that last have an update and not the ones that have the most clicks or likes, as is the case with Wattpad.
That you can’t make a cover is quite incidental.
There are various rules, but they make reading much more pleasant and you can also upload reading samples and the feedback is also significantly better than with Wattpad, as you get constructive feedback.
Here you have read that you wrote Fantasy if you don’t go after a book, anime, etc., this would have to be the right category.
