Should I report the person for hit and run?

Four weeks ago, someone drove into my bumper. The damage was minimal. The person left a note with their contact details, and I contacted them. They told me it was a company car and had already notified the leasing company and reported the accident. A few days ago, the leasing company contacted me and told me it was with their insurance company and gave me their contact details. The other party involved in the accident told me they had contacted their insurance company about settling the claim and have not heard back from them yet. My question is, should I report them to the police for hit-and-run to speed things up? The person was honest, though, and told me they didn't know the police had to be called for minor damage, and they left their details as long as they left their details. What do you think? Report them or not.

Do you want me to show the person because of the driver’s curse at the police so it’s faster?

This is already a misconception: An ad speeds up the matter at most if the other person wants to avoid regulation. There are no indications here after your description.

On the contrary, the other person may try to drag the procedure to the maximum in the case of an ad, because it annoys you. So you’re hurting yourself at most.

With minimal damage, the effort is too great.

An ad does not accelerate anything.

According to your question history, you have already made yourself guilty of this act. Would you have been happy about a criminal complaint?

Why indicate that the matter is being dealt with as to how to find out your question.

A message would not speed up anything.

But if you want to report, please don’t mention the mirror you’ve kinked two months ago….
