I think that’s what you should just give away if you’re sure the person has use for it. Technical devices that are then unused would be waste.

You should know what your mother likes and if she could start anything at all. because you don’t say anything… no. don’t give her any. everything ne alexa can, her handy too.

I don’t understand in life that people get excited about the “glass citizen” and then a spy device that listens 24/7 voluntarily puts themselves in the bud.
