Hi, I created an insta account in 2019 to show my photos and videos. After 4-5 months I had 450 followers.
Now I've had a long break from Instagram and wanted to get back to it.
Well, what can I say, it's gone from 80-100 likes per post to 10-15, and reels have gone from 1800 views and 102 likes to 28 views and 7 likes.
Does it make more sense to continue or create a new account?

Unfortunately it's not that easy to revive an old account. It's definitely better to open a new one because then you get caught up in the algorithm. The old account is definitely way down and doesn't get any attention at all. That's why, among other things, subscribers go back after a certain time if you don't post anything and the like. It's just like on YouTube, Instagram and many other social media areas. The algorithm calculates the trend and shifts the priority of the account owner back and forth depending on the area or interest, likes and posts. The algorithm also changes if you get additional subscribers. Among other things, your profile will then be suggested more often than we were if you use an old account. We did this as an experiment for YouTube back then with a fake account and also tested the reaction of subscribers.
