Sexist advertising from the 90s/00s?
Hey
For German, we're supposed to analyze sexist advertising; I'm analyzing the 1990s and 2000s. I can't find much evidence of strong sexism. (Our teacher wants to hear something like "Woman as an object" or "typical" gender roles.)
Can anyone help me?
90s and 2000s were already severely deafened, but it should not be a problem to find such stereotypes.
Genuine sexism has been found in recent times almost only on posters

But it is 1954
What happened later
hmm, today sexist advertising is already one where the ‘classical’ role distribution is underlined. Especially the wife and mother who cares for children, kitchen and household…sleek food, clean clothes and apartment..
But there were also advertisements that were already considered ‘sexisting’ at the time, even in the 80s. Lightly dressed young ladies, partly up-without, who were showering, or just on the beach, or in the water, and thereby warn for a ‘fresh’ shower feeling…
Helloð!!
And I spontaneously think of the real brilliant Gillette advertisement (for the best in the man). The woman as an object is not sooo present, but a parade example for gender roles.
A true favor in contrast to the currently vegan-responsive we-are-so-tolerant commercials.
Please turn the time back 😉!

I’m spontaneously catching up with the advertising of “women’s gold”. Or cigarettes and foods.
I don’t think there was anything like that.

Mutti cooks, bakes and raises the children. Not Daddy. He must find a perfect household and be pampered. It can’t be that the neighbor’s detergent smells better or washes white. And by the way. Muttis hair and make up are always perfect.
Just because there was no such thing. This chase after the “bad sexist” thing is a mental illness of our time.
Exactly where there are already advertisements where women are exaggerated and totally unnecessarily sexualized or can only be seen as a sweet housewife and mother 😂🤦 ♀️
So what? Where’s the problem? Men were also represented in their stereotypical roles. So, has the world gone down?
Then it’s good.
If someone wants to do this for SICH, it’s completely fine.
And what if someone wants to be like that? Say what you call sexist? Or, as a man, I think it’s great?
Where am I? Everyone can live as he wants, no one has to be something because of his sex. That’s the point.
Yes, hypersensitivity is real. As people as you mix into the lives of others. I’m not doing this.
Of course there was. Now it’s getting better.
Do you know what I find unharmed? That’s what it’s all about nowadays, but if you say that, of course, when others say that, they are oversensitive. Just absurd.
That was the time. We have just become too sensitive today. There was nothing like that in the 90s and 2000s. And that women are liked for their appearance is completely normal and natural.
As a young guy, I also enjoyed Tomb Raider and from part 3, her breasts were really well shaped. Yeah, I liked it? So? Is this the world gone down? No.
We’re “offended” too fast today. Just let people rest and let them live. If a woman wants to be a housewife, if not, she shouldn’t.
If a man wants to be the typical feeder, he should do that if not, then not.
I don’t interfere with the lives of others.
You say there was no sexism. What now? And why should you find this great to be pressed into a cliché that reduces you to the appearance or housewife?
