Sewing suit trousers from leggings fabric?

Hello, my dears.

I wanted to try making pants, but I don't know how well this idea would work….

I'm looking for pants that are cut like men's suit trousers, but I'd like to use a stretch/polyester/viscose (or something else stretchy). Do you think this would work? Can you give me some tips on where problems might arise?

(I don't have much experience yet)

best regards

But that would be stubborn and looks good, and if you sew it tightly it will inevitably be a legging.

Great idea. The whole pants are gonna be pretty stubborn.

Look for such pants a fabric with little elastane, 3% should be enough.

The suit trousers from the new collections always have some elastane in the fabric, but not 95 percent. Otherwise the whole pants are not sitting.

I think a word for this would be "travel material" or "travel material", which are fabrics for clothing that do not tremble (from the suitcase, shake, finish). They are usually synthetic fibers with elastane content, but they do not have the "look" of other elastane substances, but rather like suits.

You should stick to the instructions on the fabric. Cutting patterns for webware are different than those for elastic fabrics, probably the fit will suffer from them.
