Hello

The scope of VW Golf 5 inspection according to service plan

  1. engine oil change, including fresh oil filter and new oil drain screw seal
  2. Engine and gear on leak test
  3. Control engine exhaust gas
  4. inspection of the brake system
  5. Functional testing of the brake system
  6. Tyres, wheel suspension, shock absorbers and springs
  7. Visual inspection from the underbody and the exhaust system
  8. Visual inspection of the body and the painting
  9. Function control of headlights and lamps
  10. Setting locks and hinges
  11. control coolant and wash liquid level, supplement if necessary
  12. Control voltage state for car and radio key battery, replace battery if required
  13. Read out, remove and delete faults found
  14. perform test operation and check the driving behavior
  15. Inspection display at zero positions
  16. Renew TÜV and AU if necessary

Special works that are additionally incurred in fixed service as well as in longLife maintenance depending on the mileage level

  • Exchange brake fluid after 36/24 months
  • Exchange internal filters after 24 months
  • Sliding roof rails clean every 24 months
  • Replace cooling liquid and rinse cooling system, no later than 4 years
  • Replace spark plugs after 4 years / 60,000 km
  • Air filter no later than 6 years / 90.000 km replace, Clean air filter housing
  • Exchange fuel filters at the latest after 90,000 km
  • Automatic DSG gear, all 60,000 km replace the gear oil, depending on the equipment
  • Extensive chassis control including drive shafts and steering as well as shock absorber test every 4 years
  • V-belts, tensioners and guide roller at the latest after 4 years, replace if necessary
  • control chain for noise generation (time-independent) and if necessary replace
  • Changing belts, water pump and belt tensioner after 150,000 / 180,000 km, no later than 10 years
  • Miscellaneous, broken or worn components discovered during inspection
  • Navi Update according to equipment

Is it switch or automatic?

This could be the time for toothed belts and gear oil change during automatic operation.

Otherwise brakes as required…. and liquids anyway… possibly new spark plugs
