E-mail is a text medium. Everything you attach to emails is coded as text. Therefore, email does not know folders or other file structures.

You can pack the folder into an archive (e.g. Zip) and send it as a whole.

Singing already fails at the volume of the music files to be sent with a probability that is limited to security. Mail servers usually have a restriction on the size of mail attachments. If this restriction is exceeded, the mail is either not accepted by the recipient or not sent by your mail client at all.

To send something like this as an e-mail is therefore little insane from the idea. Instead, the data is placed on a server or cloud storage, which can also be accessed externally and sends only the download link by email.

Why use additional software when boarding equipment also work?

Because third-party software usually has more functional scope or other advantages.

The range of functions and the advantages not specified in more detail are not necessary for the desired purpose of use. You also refuse that Winrar is licensed. In addition, you neglect that only Zip is available as a format so that the recipient can unpack the archive without additional software. The “additional functional scope” and the “other advantages” are thus there. The only “other advantage” is license fees or illegal use without license.
