Semester ticket, then connecting ticket or normal ticket?
Hello, I would like to know whether I have to buy a regular ticket or a connecting ticket.
The following:
I received a semester ticket from the university that allows me to travel from destination A to destination B, but not to my destination C. Destination C is not included in my semester ticket.
So I would have to get a ticket from travel point B to travel point C, and now I don't know if a connecting ticket would be sufficient.
Further information:
My semester ticket is valid for all of Lower Saxony and a few stations in North Rhine-Westphalia. I would take the last possible station in North Rhine-Westphalia and from there take a WestfalenTarif connecting ticket to the next town.
I just don't know if that's possible, since I'm traveling from Lower Saxony to North Rhine-Westphalia. The last two stops (destination B and destination C) are in North Rhine-Westphalia, but then I'd probably have to take a regular ticket instead of a connecting ticket, right?
I hope you somehow understood this chaotic explanation.
Thank you very much in advance,
best regards
(PS: I actually wanted to ask Deutsche Bahn, but as a student I'd rather save the 0.60 cents/minute + probably waiting time…)
If you do "PassengerTicket Westfalen" This applies only in connection with time tickets and subscription tickets of the Westfalentarif. It does not apply in connection with semester tickets or other time cards/subscriptions of other allies.
https://www.westfalentarif.de/tickets subscriptions/additional ticket
I mean, with additional tickets, the connection ticket. But I assume that my semester ticket cannot be rated as a time ticket?
Thanks for the quick answer!
Oh, yeah.
Unfortunately, the website is not so informative, but in the Tariff provisions you'll be joined.
The following shall apply: Connection tickets and Driving tickets to Westphalia in principle the same conditions:
Also here no validity in connection with semester tickets or other time cards/Subscriptions of other allies
Yes, I felt the page as a bloody beginner as to how to drive train, not soooo manageable.. Then I definitely know now.
Thanks for the help!
