Seller wants me to pay for return shipping?

Hey,

I bought a knife that doesn't seem to be new; it has micro scratches on the blade, a broken tip, and pieces of fabric between the blade and handle.

eBay, after I made it clear to the seller that I did not want an exchange but a return, as the knife had far too many signs of wear for it to be new, the seller told me to buy a label from Hermes and send it back.

I wrote to him that I needed a return label, and after two days I received this reply today:

I'd rather not pay for the return label out of my own pocket, especially since I assume that the seller will not reimburse me for the costs incurred -> since he has a few negative reviews that also had problems with the return and also with the return shipping:

The seller always replies every two days.

Should I open a case on eBay, since this is possible as of today, or should I first write to the seller that I will not pay in advance with the return label, since the seller has too many negative reviews regarding this and has been left with the costs.

The article does not seem to correspond to the description, so the seller should bear the return costs.

I'd like to point him out again and then (satisfied) make up a case.

Maybe in the future read the reviews before the sale and not only with problems.

To your question, I would definitely prescribe to him and give him the opportunity to introduce the case you can still open.

A return without proof is cancelled, in these reviews all. You may have a case on eBay. also open later (respect for peace), but there will also be a request for a return.

Should I open a case on eBay as this is possible since today

That's exactly what you should do.

In addition, a non-re traceable return cannot be considered here.

You were completely wrong about this:

You shouldn't have asked for any withdrawal, but open a case for a different article have to.

In this case, the seller does not stop sending you a free return label; If he doesn't, then eBay will take it for him.

So please try if you can do this:

Pay the return, and then give the seller a bad review.

Just suck on the 5 € and save yourself further frustration.

It's your nerves. It wouldn't be worth the stress and eternal writing.

The cost of return is usually borne by the buyer. A free return label must not be provided to you by the seller.

That is not true – first of all, it must be agreed, secondly, an amount limit applies, and thirdly, this only applies to defective goods.

If the item deviates from the description, the seller must pay the return.

you exercise your right to revoke, the seller can impose the shipment.

Warranty, in the case the seller pays.

No, returns don't pay the seller. It's not a duty. Most of them are made of cunning.

Revocation is not a good idea, then the costs could actually be transferred to the buyer, but we are talking about defects in the goods.
