Self-help group?
Hello everyone,
I wanted to ask whether it would be worthwhile to set up a self-help group for young people who have experienced violence and abuse.
If you were affected, would you turn to a support group?

Hey, I don't have dreams every day, but I often have really crazy and realistic/graphic dreams. For example, I slept a little this afternoon. I actually dreamed that someone cut off my feet and I saw it clearly. I have a lot of dreams like that. Can someone help me? At what point does it…
Hey, here's the situation: my girlfriend's father (my girlfriend is 14) drinks alcohol every night and is pretty aggressive when he does. My girlfriend is generally very depressed so I always have to be careful what I say to her, but now it turns out that her father is maybe a pedophile or behaves strangely…
Many of you may be familiar with this: Children have a penchant for the paranormal and often say very strange things, especially at a very young age. As examples: Just now on the playground (an approximately 8-year-old) randomly said to her friend while playing, "I talked to the spirits in my dreams." You didn't mention…
To the people who are currently on the road for work/school etc., when will you finally have free time and what time will you be getting home?
Well – I’m not affected either. But if a self-help group is not led by someone who is competent, then this group does not use anything. Then everyone just pukes out once – everyone has the greatest pain to wear – and after that all go unsoundingly apart. Because nobody’s helped. – That’s my prognosis.
Those who are affected should go into therapy. I think. Because not only every case is different, but every person acts and reacts differently.
I am not personally (among others because I am no more adolescent). But basically, why not? Certainly not a bad idea if you’re looking for enough publicity. You can see how it works. In any case, an honorable task.
Hello!
Self-help groups in which everyone is equal and who have a recovery program are more successful than therapists. It doesn’t fit a single person to set up such a group.
Learn how the anonymous alcoholics were born at the time. This is well described, for example, in the book “Gib es weiter”.
It is much too little listened to the experience of the affected and offers you have to look for,I think it’s great if you really raise and offer. Some disturbances in the brain, in the psyche is studied but no one listens to the experience of the affected. I’d rather go to a group where I know there are people who have been through the same thing as I am.
I’m exjunky,if I tell a doctor I have addiction printing it’s trying to understand. Until you finally explained everything, you’re back on it.
An exjunky to say lets all bells ring and there are no more explanations. Some things cannot be explained, especially in the case of such issues.
Self-help group is primarily a private exchange among like-minded people.
Depending on the participant, it can be very helpful, but there are also not so good experiences.
That’s why I have a yes, but without an unconditional expectation!
However, in your environment, whether there are already such groups that may get support, whether rooms, allowances, etc.
I wouldn’t. I’m sure I don’t tell a group of people.
But why only juvenile? Adults may well help;)
🤣 exactly the same I just thought where I read up. Such group does not live from the experience of members from the age of participants.
